Cove Summer Fitness


It’s summer! Take your workout outside with world-class trainer and coach Chris Johnson. Challenge yourself with a one-hour full-body workout incorporating Newton Park & Rec’s new LifeTrail fitness equipment, movement drills on the field, and light trail jogging. Try the class out for free on June 27th, and then join the fun on Wednesday evenings in July.

Newton Cove Summer Fitness

Limited space, so register early!

June 27th: “First one Free” workout at 6:15 pm

July 4th: “Preemptive Cookout Strike” workout at 8 am

July 11th: 6:15 pm

July 18th: 6:15 pm

July 25th: 6:15 pm Fee: $20/class.

Register here, If the weather is really lousy, class will be moved indoors to 75 Adams St., Newton. After registering, a waiver form will be emailed to class participants, to be signed & returned prior to class. Questions? Contact Chris@improvewithchris.com.

Chris Johnson is a Human Performance Coach who has appeared on NECN, CBS, and in The Boston Globe and Runner’s World Magazine. After starting his career at Harvard University, Chris became the Head Strength Coach at Lasell College and now has his own studio, Boston Strength & Conditioning. Chris is the author of two books, How to Improve on Fitness and Beat the Competition: Sport and Exercise Science for Athletes in Search of Excellence, and PR Pace: Strength & Performance Training for Distance Runners.
